Aspire has been empowering Egyptian women and girls locally through a series of projects within the themes of gender equality and women’s empowerment including working towards ensuring cities free of violence against women, economic empowerment and participation through entrepreneurial skills development and capacity building of local NGOs and volunteer programmes in regard to social change and inclusion. In addition, Aspire has – in recognition of the importance of men’s role and participation in achieving a gender equal society – developed manhood and family programmes to ensure that fathers, spouses and brothers are aware of their roles and responsibilities in the matter.
