About Project

InThe WE ARE HER project aims, in line with the EU policies to contribute to the empowerment of women, girls and young people to “fully use their rights and increase their participation in political, economic and cultural life” by addressing the structural causes of gender inequality as well as gender-based discrimination in different and diverse regions of the world.

The WE ARE HER project has specific goals to achieve within project dates :

  • To create a transnational network of collaboration between partners across the Mediterranean area, in order to share and build on capacities, competences, best practices and cooperation skills within a gender equality mainstreaming agenda, methodologies and tools while implementing lessons learned on policy level of the partner organizations.
  •  To establish a network of youth workers (trainers, volunteers, activists) from partner countries and build on their capacities in preventing gender inequalities and in particular women’s rights violations in local and international activities while promoting gender equality and engaging their communities through local and digital actions
  • To create awareness among, connect, engage and empower culturally diverse. young people including youth with fewer opportunities from 5 of the partner countries with or without previous experience in international projects in women’s rights issues to take action through the initiation of a transnational WE ARE HER Social Media Campaign.
  • To maximize the impact of the project, by using adequate dissemination, communication, impact and networking strategies oriented to all relevant stakeholders, target groups and communities in the development and promotion of gender equality and women.
